When we first started to fool around with that new-fangled technology called the Internet, we had lots to learn.  Where would we store our website?  How would we upload it?  Could we revise it and how often?  How much space would we need and how much would it cost?  Ads for Web hosting services started to appear sporadically in computing magazines.  They offered scant services and small chunks of storage space.  They charged lots of money, too.  Since there weren't many options at that time, we chose to store our website at a hosting company in Canada.  They wanted 50 bucks a month for 50 megs of storage space.  The deal didn't sound half bad so we signed up and stayed with them for a year and a half.  We were disappointed, however, that tech support was not available in the evening or on the weekends. 

Suddenly there was an abundance of new hosting companies offering deals that were much more competitive.   It was hard to differentiate one from another.  Their names all sounded alike, their packages were similar, and picking one company over another came down to eenie-meenie-minie-mo.  We thought our prayers had been answered when we found a company that offered everything under the sun -- tons of storage space, lots of software goodies, 24/7 tech support, a money-back guarantee -- all for $14.95 a month!  Then we had our first tech support question.  What a nightmare!  They wouldn't answer the phones, return our voice-mail, or respond to any e-mail messages!!!  We terminated our agreement, but they wouldn't give us our money back!  Eventually we got our refund, but the aggravation was unbelievable!  The point is, we really learned a lot.  We had to do it the hard way, but because we did, you won't have to.  We're here to give you the benefit of our experiences and help you find your way.
